Pore varnishes/sealants for composites
Pore varnish produces an even, protective polymer layer onto the mold surface. It also has an anchoring effect on the release agent, thus increasing the amount of releases. Pore varnish is an important component of the releasing system.
Chemlease® 15 sealer EZ
A high-quality sealant developed to both seal and keep mold surfaces in good condition. It covers surface porosity and protects new and/or mended mold surfaces.

Chemlease® MPP 712 EZ
Sealing agent that reduces surface porosity, but does not have release properties. This agent is intended for new molds and the mending of old ones.

Zyvax® Sealer GP
Sealer GP is a high modulus, clear, flexible film with superior substrate adhesion that forms a protective shield on the mold surface. As a conditioner, Sealer GP is designed to treat both the chemical and physical bonding sites found on every “raw” mold surface. In addition, Sealer GP provides the base needed to extend the life of the release coating and will allow optimal performance from the release coating.

Zyvax® Sealer SF
Sealer SF is a water-based mold surface sealer that utilizes unique reactive chemistry to form a durable film on the mold surface. Sealer SF increases the duty cycle of the mold and protects the mold surfaces from wear and damage. Used in conjunction with Zyvax® release products, Sealer SF will increase production floor efficiency while enhancing workplace safety.

Release agents for composites
The release agent makes and keeps the release process simple. It should be used so that the relative humidity is >30%. In drier conditions, either the curing time should be 10 times longer or the relative humidity should be increased. Chemtrend’s Chemlease®- and Zyvax® products are user-friendly, they protect the mold and increase its life-time.
Chemlease® 41-90 EZ
This release agent is especially designed for molds in which the products are difficult to detach.

Zyvax® Composite Shield
