General purpose epoxies
SP 106
Universal epoxy for general purpose, durable epoxy with good strength
properties, especially suited for wood bonding, lamination and coating. By adding fillers it can be used as adhesive or putty. The working time and environment can be adjusted by choosing either the fast or slow hardener. As a wood adhesive and surface treatment, it improves the compressive strength of wood fibers and provides a moisture barrier. A wood surface treated with SP 106 epoxy stays drier, keeps it’s shape, and retains better mechanical properties. For many decades, the resin has been used in manufacturing and repairing of wooden and glass fiber boats. It can be used with light reinforcements, up to 300 g/m2.
Mix ratio: 5:1 by volume, 100:18 by weight
Gelation Time (20°C) 150g: fast 17 min, slow 30 min

SP 320
SP 320 is a high quality, solvent-free, general purpose epoxy for lamination,
adhesion, and surface treatment. It is especially suited for wood bonding and surface treatment of light wood. Only few layers of SP 320 resin give a beautiful, clear surface, serving as a substitute to more than 10 layers of traditional varnish. In addition, SP 320 functions well with fiber glass fabrics; producing a transparent shiny surface that is waterproof and wear-resistant.
Mix ratio: 5:2 by volume, 100:33,3 by weight
Gelation Time (20°C) 150g: fast 13 min, slow 29 min
Working Time (20°C): fast 1h 40 min, slow 2h 40 min
Package sizes: 1kg, 4kg, 13.33kg

Lamination epoxies
Ampreg 21
Ampreg 21 is a product from the newest generation of Gurit’s lamination
epoxies. It has a low viscosity and is excellent for wetting reinforcement. It is designed to give the laminate good heat-resistance and mechanical properties even in room temperature and/or low post-curing temperature (e.g. +50 °C). There are several hardeners available for Ampreg 21 resin and it is suitable for both hand lamination and vacuum infusion curing. The product is approved by Germanischer Lloyds.
Mix ratio: 100:38 by volume, 100:33 by weight
Gelation Time (20°C) 150g: fast 34 min, std 1h 36 min, slow 5h 17 min
Package sizes: 1.33kg, 3.6kg, 13.33kg
Documentation: Data sheet (pdf)(English)
SP 115
Clear, UV-resistant epoxy resin system with low viscosity, good impact
toughness and strength properties which make it ideally suitable for producing resin-laminated products such as prototypes, gliders, surfboards, and kayaks. This resin system can be used with all reinforced fibers and core materials. It can also be used to repair thin laminates.
Mix ratio: 5:2 by volume, 3:1 by weight
Gelation Time (20°C) 150g: std 45 – 60 min
Working Time (20°C): std 60 min

Epoxy foams
Epoxy foams are two- or three component materials, which can be used to produce a foamy lightweight core material. It can also be used to fill pores. Epoxy foams can also be poured onto prepreg or wet epoxy laminate.
Epoxy foam expands slower than urethane and it has an excellent adhesion to almost all materials. In addition, it is water resistant. Common applications are keels and rudders in boats, also to fill empty cavities in sandwich structures as well as repairing of those. The foam is available in qualities of 170 kg/m3 and 250 kg/m3 with two different hardeners. The slow hardener is recommended to use in thicker castings, so that the heat of reaction doesn’t increase too much. Larger batches of epoxy foams are available in three components, where the third component makes the foam density adjustable. We give additional information with pleasure.
170 kg/m3 5 kg + standard hardener 1,55 kg
170 kg/m3 5 kg + slow hardener 1,8 kg
250 kg/m3 5 kg + standard hardener 1,55 kg
250 kg/m3 5 kg + slow hardener 1,8 kg
Epoxy foam is also available in larger containers.
